Stacey Superhero Comic Boom Leggings from OMG Fashion

These are simply brilliant.  Comic book print - check!  Silly comic book text - check!  Cheap, cheerful and fun - check!  These leggings from OMG Fashion make me chuckle and I want them.  I'm not sure where I would even wear them but at just £8, it might be worth having a punt!  Maybe team with a plain, long line t-shirt and leather jacket for a funky and quirky look?

Awesome Accessories: Enchanted Cat Jewellery from Betsey Johnson

I adore the designer Betsey Johnson.  Feminine and fun, I love her eccentric and edgy fashion.  She's brought out a fabulous range of jewellery called 'Enchanted Cat' and I love it all - and at the moment, there's a discount code available to snap it up!

First up are these stud earrings for $25 (about £15).  I think these are adorable and could be worn all day, every day.
Then there's this cuff for $45 (about £28).  I'd wear this to create a more urban looking daytime outfit, with jeans and black boots - indeed, I'd rock that biker chick look, with a twist!
And this half-moon necklace is a statement and a half!  It's $95 (about £60) but... wow!  This would look amazing embellishing any outfit.
Finally, there's these dangly crystal earrings, which are a little more subtle but still very sweet.  They are $25.
For a limited time, there's 30% off with the code KNOCKOUT (and free shipping if you're in the US) but at other times, customers can sign up for the newsletter for 10% off first orders.

Fantastic Footwear: Whistles Barbara Ballet Shoes from Atterley Road

I do love a quality ballerina pump and these black suede Whistles ones with an ankle strap are simply divine.  They are stylish and elegant, but will be comfortable and practical for wearing during the day - perfect for the office teamed with a smart skirt suit.  I think they could also be worn with ankle skimming jeans for a more casual, but still chic, look.  They are available from Atterley Road in sizes EU 36 to 40 for £110 and, until midnight on Monday, customers can get 25% off with code PAYDAY25, meaning they're £82.50.

Awesome Accessories: Limited Edition Coral Perspex Necklace from Miss Selfridge

I've said it before and I'll say it again - you can't beat a fabulous statement necklace to brighten up and add glamour any outfit and this limited edition coral necklace from Miss Selfridge is simply perfect.  I've been coveting it for several months now, but the original price tag of £50 was far too hefty - which is why it's great it's been reduced to just £20 in the sale!  I think it would look great to embellish a simple white top during the day but equally, would look fabulous when dressed with evening wear for a night out.

Fantastic Footwear: Proper Leather Chelsea Boot from Dune

For the transition into Autumn and Winter, a wardrobe staple is a great quality, classic Chelsea boot.  Chelsea boots are so versatile and can be worn with almost anything -  maxi skirts, jeans, trousers - anything!  A look I've seen which I am quite taken with is wearing them with tights, a knee-length skirt and a big overcoat.  However, as ever when the seasons turn, it's often hard to find a suitable bargain, which is why it's great that Dune are offering up to 20% off selected shoes, boots and bags this weekend - and the humble Chelsea boot is among the offers!

This boot is practically perfect.  It is made of leather so will be durable and last years.  A slight heel, to give a bit of lift and shape, but not too high to be impractical.  Elasticated on the ankle, it will be easy to take on and off!  Available in brown or black and sizes 3 to 7, they are reduced this weekend from £99 to £79 - but hurry, as the offer ends midnight on 29th September!

Splendid Skirt: Fearne Cotton Printed Mini Skirt from Very.co.uk

I got an email from Very.co.uk that Fearne Cotton has her new Autumn and Winter range out now and it looks quite nice.  Her collection is described as girlie, with a cool edge, and that's just what one gets!  However, I also noticed that there's a sale on the site, with up to 60% off, and I spotted this fab black, red and cream printed mini skirt from Fearne's (presumably SS13) collection.  I like this skirt particularly as it is chic and modern, but also versatile - it could be worn as a simple every day outfit or I reckon one could get away with it for work!  The pattern's great too, with a hint towards this season's tartan trend without going overboard.  It's a cotton/elastane blend, with a mock wrap front, so should fit and flatter very well.  It's on sale, reduced from £25 to £15 and is still available in sizes 14 to 18.

Awesome Accessories: Pegasus Scarf from Warehouse

Whatever the weather, a scarf is always a simple but elegant accessory to any outfit.  It can, in fact, replace jewellery to become the focus for any ensemble.  It also is a great way of keeping the breeze at bay in warmer months; it may be too hot to wear a jacket or cardi but too chilly to wear nothing, and a scarf fits the bill nicely.

As a rule of thumb, I tend to wear patterned scarves with plain coloured clothing and singel coloured scarves with patterned outfits.  However, I have started to throw away the rule book in this respect and have been wearing patterns with patterns - shock!  I think this works best with two colours on the scarf, with at least one being fairly neutral like black or white.  So this gorgeous Pegasus scarf from Warehouse is perfect.  I'd wear it with a brighter outfit, but it would, in fact go with almost any colour combination.  And who can resist the power of Pegasus; he's been a favourite of mine since I was a little girl!  And for a limited time, there's 20% off with the code STYLE20 on all full-priced items on the site.  I think this one will be gone quickly, so snap it up while you can!

Satchel Bag from Groupon

Groupon is one of my favourite online retailers.  Customers can sign up to newsletter of their choice - I have signed up to two local ones based on my nearest towns - usually meals out and pampering packages, but I've been told the London one often does theatre shows - and a goods one, which has great deals on products and courses.  Each deal has a significant discount - there's a wedding planner course today offering a 91% discount and a telescope with a 78% discount.  So it's definitely well worth signing up; I've found a couple of bargains which I had been looking for elsewhere at much higher prices and have struck lucky with Groupon.  Customers make a purchase through the Groupon site and are sent a 'Groupon' - essentially a voucher which needs to be redeemed within a certain date, so if it's a good/product that's been purchased, this can be done immediately but a local appointment needs to be booked within the date range.

Today they've got some fab, on-trend, colourful, cross body satchels on offer with a 54% discount, making therm, £22.99 rather than £49, and with free delivery.  They aren't leather, but at that price, one wouldn't expect them to be really.  My favourite is this pink one:
But they've got so many other colours too:  navy blue and tan brown:

Teal and bright neon green:
Coral blue, black and bright purple:
And an emerald green.
The colours are so fab and such a bargain, that it's worth getting a couple to match any outfit!  And they are practical and pretty at the same time - who could want more from a bag?!

Competition: Warehouse Style Me If You Can

Warehouse launched their AW13 'Style Me if You can' campaign whereby customers picked the place and chose the look.  The competition asked customers to enter to become the stylist for their forthcoming film and print campaign, so they can see their designs brought to life.  This has been achieved as a series of fun videos, so have a look below!

What's your favourite piece from this campaign?  I'm quite taken by the brightly coloured necklace...

Delightful Dress: Cream Tea Tunic from Dorothy Perkins

There are many great offers on the Dorothy Perkins website right now.  There's up to 30% off denim, a 20% student discount, special offers plus lots still available in the sale.

I've found this fantastically patterned tunic dress in the sale.  The shape is perfectly stylish and flattering, with a belt to cinch in one's waist and feminine capped sleeves.  It can be worn as a summer dress with some simple sandals, or as a tunic with leggings and jeans.  But it's the fabric's print that really stands out for me.  It's so unusual and pretty, with a nostalgic vintage flavour.  It brings to mind - for me - ladies enjoying a picnic (as opposed to a cream tea, as the dress is named).  This dress comes in small/medium and medium large and is reduced from £22 to £17.60.

Leather Knee High Boots from Simply Be

I've said before that a great pair of knee high boots is an autumn and winter essential and blogged about a fantastic heeled pair from Castaluna.  However, today I'm going for flat boots and have found what I need at Simply Be.  They come in a range of colours, sizes and width fittings, so there is definitely something that will fit my calves perfectly.  The only problem is that I can't decide which to get - should I go smart or casual?  Or should I get both?  Until 12th September, there's 30% off selected items and these boots are included...

The first boots I found were these leather riding boots.  Classic and refined, they could be worn to work - but would also look great with tucked-in skinny jeans.  They come in sizes 4 to 9, black or light brown and a range of width fittings.  They are £80 normally, but £64 with the discount.
The second pair of boots I found were these leather Sole Diva double buckle boots, again in sizes 4 to 9, black or brown and a range of width fittings.  They are more casual than the riding boots but would be practical and perfect for wearing during the day.
Decisions, decisions...  But even if I run out of time, Simply Be often has a discount voucher code to take advantage of, so all is not lost in terms of savvy savings!

Alexander McQueen Enamel Skull Bracelet from Liberty London

Skull prints and patterns are still very much in fashion.  However, I do find that sometimes they can be a bit over the top, being too 'scary' or simply inappropriate.  Done correctly though, they can be simply charming, cool and edgy.

I have been coveting this Alexander McQueen skull bracelet from Liberty London for ages it seems, although I suspect it only came out a week or two ago.   It's the sort of thing that one can wear with any outfit, and I'd be tempted to wear it for a formal meeting at work to be a little bit cheeky!  The price tag is £145 but for a limited time, there's £30 off £150 or more spends with the code WOMENSAW13 so add this and some lovely stationery to your bag and save!

Lace Shirt Dress from Madam Rage

The weather may have turned, but there's always a place for lace!  Wear with a jacket and tights for a feminine, autumnal look.

This mint green lace shirt dress is available in sizes 8 to 16 from Madam Rage.  Shirt dresses are so versatile and can be worn for daytime, work or even dressed up for an evening out.   The colour of this one is delightful and will look fab with a brightly coloured belt to accentuate the waist.  I also love the buttons which are cute, silver bows.  However, best of all, it's been reduced from £28 to just £10 - an absolute bargain!

Costella adele Miami Handbag from Bottica

I suspect this is more of a clutch than a handbag, but how fabulous is this adele Miami bag by Costella?  The neon colours are amazing, and it will look great with almost any outfit, day or night.  It's superior quality, being handmade in Los Angeles from lambskin with a waterproof lining.  It's also limited edition - there's only three left!  Totally an investment piece at £104 - although you could make an offer.  It's available from online site Bottica, and new customers can sign up to get £30 off their first order, so even better!  Gorgeous.

Leggings from Boden

I remember when leggings appeared after a couple of decade's hiatus, I was skeptical.  My main thought was: how on earth can a bad fashion trend from the 1980's be relevant or fashionable again?  But I admit, I was wrong.  The latest rendition of leggings is (in my opinion) fabulous and a trend that's here to stay.

However, a key point I would like to make is - they are not, on the whole, trousers.  They don't look very good with a crop top, or even a top that doesn't go past one's waist, unless one is a child or super-skinny.  Or a gymnast or dancer - I'll give that one.  But on the average woman, they should really be worn as footless tights.  Think shorter dresses, mini skirts or tunics.  They look great under those!  A second point is that they should be good quality.  See through leggings are simply horrendous, especially when someone doesn't wear a long top as advised above.....  I don't want to see anyone's pants or worse.  Length is also important, as shorter, calf-length leggings can often make legs look stumpy, so I'd suggest ankle length ones on the whole.

The best leggings I have found are from Boden.  They are superb quality, being thick enough to not be transparent and they don't lose their shape, even when washed.  They come in a great range of colours - black, light grey, navy and a kind of bluey-grey.  The fit is perfect too.  Although they are £22, I have found that they are worth it as they last far longer than cheaper versions aside from the quality.  And for this week only, customers can enjoy 10% off plus free delivery and returns, with new customers receiving a free gift, with code W002 (expires 8th September).
If that is still too expensive, the next best leggings I have found are from Monsoon and are £15.  Again, they are great quality and the fabric is robust, but I find the fit around the waist isn't quite as good as the Boden ones and so they aren't as comfortable.
